I am in the Atlantic time zone, that's one hour ahead of Eastern and four hours ahead of Pacific. Please don't call after 9pm Atlantic as this number rings in my house as well as the studio.

You can also place your order by mail or phone. You might find this printer-friendly order form useful. I can accept payment by cheque, money order, Visa or Mastercard.

Customers in Canada will be charged the appropriate sales tax:-

• 13% HST in NS, NB, NF.

• 5% GST elsewhere in Canada

Shipping your goods

All items are shipped via Canada Post.

Most orders are sent by Expedited parcel. If faster and guaranteed delivery is required, Xpresspost will incur additional charges.

Most orders are shipped by small packet airmail and are received in 7 to 10 days. Larger orders are shipped by Expedited Parcel™ USA with a similar delivery standard.

Although I don't recommend it, for more urgent shipments Xpresspost™ USA should get parcels to major centers in 4-6 days, but there is an additional charge for this. I won't use Purolator because it is very expensive and only marginally quicker than Xpresspost™ USA.

Please remember that your shipment will be crossing an international border, and may be subject to delays and duties.

I normally only ship to Canada and the USA. Orders from the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand will be considered on a case by case basis. Please email me with your address and what it is you want to order and I will get back to you with a quote for shipping and estimated delivery time.

I started my first business, Sunrise Woodcrafts, in 1995, operating out of my home. In those early years I relied mainly on sales to tourists, but went on-line in 1999, and by 2002 the internet accounted for 40% of my sales. In 2000 I moved into a purpose built workshop and gallery. In 2004 I changed the business name to Seafoam Woodturning Studio for marketing purposes; it better reflects what I do, and where I am located. It simplifies advertising and road signage for the tourist market.

Despite many people's concerns about using a credit card on-line, I believe that current security technology reduces the risk to less than carrying your cards with you wherever you go. I use the services of Mal's e-commerce to handle the shopping cart purchases from this web site. Mal's uses a secure server to collect your credit card details. When you get to the page which asks for your card details, check for the padlock symbol in your browser. (If you don't see it, make sure you have the Status bar turned on - check in the View menu).

But if you don't want to use your credit card online, I can also take your order by more traditional means.

Privacy

Any personal information that you give to me will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. Under no circumstances will any information be passed on to a third party. I will only use your contact information in response to enquiries or orders.

If you want to be kept up-to-date with what is happening here, or to learn about new products and offers, please sign up for the appropriate newsletter or subscribe to the blog. I am not a prolific writer, so you should have no fear of being swamped by e-mail!

Returns

Items found to be faulty due to workmanship or material will be repaired, replaced or refunded if returned within 30 days of delivery. Your shipping cost will be refunded.

If you are not satisfied with a product, please e-mail me to discuss the problem and return it to me within 30 days of delivery for a refund of your original payment.

(This latter option is not possible for custom orders, such as the personalized bottle stoppers / wedding favors. I encourage you to order a sample pack before purchasing a large quantity of these favors.)
